The ASHFoundation offers a research grant program that consists of seven different types of funding opportunities for new and seasoned investigators for basic and clinical research, speech science, audiology and child language. - March of Dimes
The March of Dimes provides grants to researchers, with the goal of understanding the causes of birth defects and developing new ways to prevent and treat them. Letters of Intent for the March of Dimes Research Program are due annually on April 30 for possible funding to begin on the following June 1. - The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development
The NICHD supports research focusing on a variety of topics related to the health of children, adults, families, and populations, including birth defects, developmental disabilities, events occurring during pregnancy, growth and development, and enhancing function throughout the life span. - National Institute for Dental and Craniofacial Research
The National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), an arm of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), offers various types of grants supporting basic and clinical research on dental, oral, and craniofacial health. - Plastic Surgery Foundation
- Smile Train Education and Training Grant
The Smile Train supports grants focusing on the development and delivery of advanced in-country teaching and education programs in cleft lip and palate.
