ACPA’s 76th Annual Meeting, April 9-13, 2019 at The Westin La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona, will feature a one-day Pre-Conference Symposium: “Cultural Competence—The Whole Team Treating the Whole Patient”.
The symposium, held April 9, 2019, will focus on cultural competence and its impact on the delivery of services. The sessions will emphasize cultural, linguistic and social needs of patients and families. The program will focus on the interactions and relationships between the team, providers and the patients with cleft and craniofacial anomalies and their families. Discussions will include a consideration of the characteristics and values of a variety of cultures in professional practice for all disciplines.
