President’s Letter: Video Edition

ACPAACPA News, President's Letter

ACPA President Patricia A. Beals, DMD, MS took a moment to address the ACPA community with a video. She used this opportunity to share a message of hope during the time colleagues would have been gathering at the Welcome Reception in Portland at ACPA’s 77th Annual Meeting.

In the video, the ACPA President makes a distinction between the terms physical distancing and social distancing, encouraging everyone to continue connecting with one another through online resources such as social media and ACPA’s Online Community.

“Although this year’s meeting was canceled, “I’m confident that ACPA will continue to grow and move forward as an organization. We have all recently used and learned the term social distancing. Like others, I have adopted the term physical distancing. We need to be creative in ways to socialize and remain in communication, while maintaining safe physical distance. I hope you’ll join me in finding creative ways to connect and continue to build the legacy of ACPA.

There are many ways to stay engaged, whether it’s through ACPA’s Online Community or one of ACPA’s many social media platforms. Take a moment to share a post, start a conversation and connect with one another.”

The president also recognized members of the community who have been impacted the most by COVID-19.

“To our colleagues hardest hit, we are with you.”
