For over 65 years, myFace has been dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with facial differences by providing comprehensive care and funding medical, dental, speech and psychosocial services, as well as research and public awareness. myFace provides a holistic approach through access to a highly personalized team at the world-renowned myFace Center at NYU Langone Health in New York City.
All myFace patients receive the highest level of care, regardless of the type or severity of the anomaly, the length of treatment, or the family’s financial situation.
myFace also hosts networking, therapeutic and educational programs and makes travel arrangements and provides apartments for out-of-town families to stay in while their loved ones are undergoing surgery and treatment.
Working in partnership with the Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery and BioDigital, myFace launched the Craniofacial Interactive Virtual Assistant (CIVA) Pro, a craniofacial surgical simulator, in 2016. CIVA Pro is designed to educate reconstructive surgeons, fellows and residents by explaining the ten most common craniofacial procedures. To sign-up, visit www.myface.org/civa.
Following the success of CIVA Pro, myFace launched a family-friendly version of CIVA to offer interactive technology to patients and families. myFace’s CIVA serves to relieve the stress and anxiety surrounding a child’s craniofacial surgery. Families can now fully understand the pre-operative, surgical and post-operative stages of their child’s procedure.
myFace works with patients and their families every step of the way on their journey. Every patient has specific needs and each story is different.
