Getting Ready for the Online Community

ACPAACPA News, ACPA Online Community

ACPA will be launching an online community for its members on July 6th.

For the first half of 2016, ACPA has been busy getting ready for the online community launch:

In February, over 50 ACPA members volunteered to help with the online community before the launch. Since March, volunteers have been contributing content to the online community by updating their profiles, participating in discussion forums, submitting discussion topics, writing blogs and sharing resources in the resource library.

On Wednesday, April 6th during ACPA’s 73rd Annual Meeting, 20 members attended a hands-on, step-by-step training on using the online community and have begun contributing content. The session was taught by ACPA Communications Officer Carrie Heike, MD, MS, ACPA Membership Committee Co-Chair Lisa Jacob, DDS, MS and ACPA Marketing and Member Services Manager Alyssa Kirkman.

Over 50 additional members signed up to help with the online community through the member engagement survey sent earlier this year. Those members were emailed about contributing content after the Annual Meeting.

We appreciate the support of the numerous volunteers that have helped contribute content to the online community and look forward to unveiling this valuable resource to the rest of ACPA members on July 6th.
