The ACPA Visiting Scholar Program (VSP) selects a cleft and craniofacial care provider from a developing country to travel to the United States. The scholar visits with ACPA Approved Teams in the US to learn more about aspects of cleft and craniofacial care. The VSP empowers scholars to effect change to enhance care delivery and direct interdisciplinary team care in their countries and/or regions.
The ACPA Board of Directors are currently evaluating the VSP to ensure that the program has the greatest potential impact. The Board anticipates that applications will be accepted in the fall of 2018 to select the 2020 visiting scholar.
The VSP has successfully led to the creation of new teams and the improvement of care since its inception in 1995. Past scholars have reported that the experience was overwhelmingly positive and had an impact on their careers and their teams.
ACPA, its members and the Board of Directors value this long-standing program, and we look forward to its continued impact in the future. If you have any questions, please Contact Us.
