Together We are Stronger

Together we are stronger. That was the idea behind the merger of the Cleft Palate Foundation and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA), two preeminent organizations dedicated to the treatment of cleft palate and craniofacial conditions.

United under the ACPA name, we are doing even more to serve these extraordinary patients, families and professionals along their cleft journeys through an array of education, support, research, advocacy and interdisciplinary care.

Now, we need you to join us. Please consider a gift to our “Together We Are Stronger” Annual Campaign. Your support will enable ACPA to deliver:

  • Patient care. Approximately 2,650 babies are born with a cleft palate and 4,440 are born with a cleft lip with or without a cleft palate, in the U.S. annually. In fact, clefts are among the most common types of birth defects in this county and around the world. ACPA is dedicated to the treatment of these complex conditions, which often lasts from the patient’s birth through early adulthood.
  • Family support. ACPA comforts and educates families with personal and emotional support via phone, social media and email.
  • Advanced treatment – ACPA advocates for multidisciplinary care to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. There are 181 ACPA Approved Teams across the US and Canada that care for patients and their families. ACPA also offers rich professional development opportunities through networking and education for care providers.
  • Public understanding. Through diverse programs and outreach, ACPA helps to build broad awareness and understanding about cleft palate and craniofacial conditions, and those who both experience and treat these conditions.

Together, we can create a world where individuals with oral cleft & craniofacial conditions thrive. Please make a tax-deductible gift today.   For more information or to make your gift online, visit www.cleftline.org/donate or call 919.933.9044.
