Professional Scholarship Awards: Call for Applications

The application period for ACPA’s 2018 Professional Awards is now open. These awards offer cleft care providers the opportunity to engage in ACPA’s Annual Meeting and claim the benefits of ACPA membership. Please note eligibility requirements and feel free to share this information with anyone who may be interested. Awards are listed below, and you can apply hereAll applications are due October 2, 2017.

  • David P. Kuehn Speech Scholarship for Students Enrolled in a Communication Sciences and Disorders Program or Related Field
    This award helps current masters or doctoral students in relevant programs attend the ACPA Annual Meeting.  Non-ACPA members and ACPA members within their first three years of membership are eligible to apply.
  • Donna Pruzansky Memorial Fund Grant for Nurses
    Nurses who devote at least 50% of their work time to cleft-craniofacial care and who wish to increase their knowledge of the field are encouraged to apply. The DPMF Grant provides a one-year membership in ACPA, $500 for travel expenses to the Annual Meeting, and meeting registration. Current ACPA members are not eligible to apply.
  • Mary J. Hauk Memorial Scholarship for Dental Residents
    This award is designed to help student dental professionals attend the ACPA Annual Meeting.  Applicants must be current dental residents. Non-ACPA members and ACPA members within their first year of membership are eligible to apply.
  • James F. Mulick Orthodontic Scholarship
    This award helps orthodontic residents attend the ACPA Annual Meeting. Applicants must be current orthodontic residents. Non-ACPA members and ACPA members within their first year of membership are eligible to apply.
  • Karlind T. Moller Cleft/Craniofacial Scholarship for Speech Pathology/Audiology Students
    This award helps current undergraduate or graduate students in accredited SLP/Audiology programs fund research or projects involving patients with cleft-craniofacial anomalies. It provides a one-year student membership in ACPA and $500 for research or project expenses.
